SueW: Right On The Money

Well, what I think of this article is that Sue is right on the money. I had a jejuno-ileal bypass that almost killed me. I suffered many of the illnesses and side effects Sue talks about. I know of many that have died, suffered with liver damage, constant diarrhea, flatulence, just to name a few....

I see after all of these painful surgeries, that a lot of people not only do not lose all the weight they had hoped for but gain half-to-all (and more) back.....and still fight the problems of having the WLS in place.

If this were any other kind of surgery, it would be completely outlawed and totally stopped. Instead, with all the knowledge, proof, studies, death rate...what happens is a NEW and IMPROVED WLS is done...that still doesn't work!

Anytime the digestive system is cut, stapled, half of one's stomach thrown out (and it not being diseased) rearranged, what does everything think will happen? It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure it out....Just ask someone that has been scalpeled, cut, stapled, sutured, guts cut and rearranged and tacked on to other parts....they will tell you.

Fatima Parker Story Very Touching

I had the chance to read the Editorial of Fatina Parker, it is very touching. She did touch most of the points a fat person or a chubby person faces in his or her community, let alone the medical community.

Really it is very sad that a fat person has to get such treatment from the medical staffs, let alone the normal people in the community. I personally experience few things from people in the community regarding my weight. Sometimes they jokingly used terms related to cows for instances, that really shows how ignorant is our society.

In over all, I liked the article. It touched in spot in me and I am sure it touched spots in many other people.

Thanks for having this web site for people to say their peace. At least there will always be someone who cares.
