Wondering what ISAA means by “virtual chapters?”

Virtual chapters have many advantages:

1. Joining the Virtual Chapter is free (although you can still support ISAA by joining the international organization)
2. Your involvement is as much as you want it to be. You will receive e-mails from other ISAA local area chapter members through an e-mail list and you can choose to join the discussions or activism/education ideas and campaigns
3. You can stay up-to-date on news and events that affect people like yourself where you live
4. You can participate in polls to make your opinions known
5. You can list your (non-social) events in the calendar
6. You can invite your local area family and/or friends to join the chapter and the organization
7. You can make a difference in the lives of others in your area

Thus far, ISAA has launched virtual chapters in Texas, New York City and Canada. There will be other virtual chapters launched in the very near future.

The main purpose behind the creation of the virtual chapters is to reach out to local communities around the U.S. and around the world and encourage discussion, education, advocacy and activism in accordance to ISAA’s mission, goals and objectives.
