PRESS RELEASE - For Immediate Release!
Date: 09/19/2000
The International Size Acceptance Association (ISAA) has joined the COALITION FOR ANAMARIE, referring to three year-old Anamarie Martinez-Regino of Albuquerque, New Mexico. The COALITION also has as members interested parents and citizens of New Mexico and CPS Watch of Branson, Missouri.
THE COALITION FOR ANAMARIE is requesting that the court respond to concerns regarding a previously undisclosed grant partnership involving all of the state parties represented in the Anamarie Martinez-Regino case. We are asking for Judge Jewell to inform the public and the Martinez-Regino family of the existence of the grant operated under the direction of the Institute for Social Research in partnership with Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) and the University of New Mexico (UNM) and the Court of the Second Judicial District. In particular, we ask that it be revealed:
CPS Watch educates the public about CPS (Child Protective Services) assaults against the traditional family. Their primary means of reaching the public is through their website, http://www.cpswatch.com. They publish a bimonthly magazine, TCB Chronicles, packed with informative news and articles as an outreach tool to educate the public. They publish monthly technical assistance bulletins for their members to keep them up to date on current laws and trend within the child welfare system.
The Mission of the International Size Acceptance Association is to promote size acceptance and help end size discrimination throughout the world by means of advocacy and visible lawful actions.
ISAA has been officially recognized by members of the New Mexico media, the White House, President Clinton, Atlanta Mayor Bill Campbell, National Public Radio (NPR), the Wall Street Journal’s “Work and Family Show” radio program, CNN, CBS, the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army, PEOPLE Magazine, GLAMOUR Magazine and Yahoo!
