Step One: Read over the following text
I am a constituent of this state and I believe that discrimination based on size (weight and height) is one of the last legally allowed forms of discrimination in the United States and this should be changed. I am participating in a contact compaign by the International Size Acceptance Association. I want the term 'size (weight and height)' to be added to existing anti-discrimination law terminology (the same as race, creed, gender, age, etc). I am also requesting that you reject all "fat tax" legislation, because such legislation is a form of size discrimination, oversimplifies the reasons for weight gain and is based on assumptions not facts.

I recognize that public health officials decry the dangers of obesity and cite statistics that the U.S. population is getting fatter and that there is need for increased awareness about fitness and healthy food choices. Nevertheless, this does not excuse discrimination based on size or weight and I am appealing to you to protect me and my loved ones from size discrimination. I am therefore asking you to lobby on my behalf to have the term 'size (weight and height)' added to existing anti-discrimination laws and to vote against all "fat tax" legislation.
