What is ISAA all about?

ISAA operates as a non-profit civil rights organization dedicated to promoting size acceptance and helping to end size discrimination. (See Mission Statement)

ISAA also has a philosophical core based around the concept of Respect Fitness Health.

When was ISAA formed?

ISAA officially began operating on July 1, 1997.


How can I become involved with ISAA?

ISAA is no longer a membership organization, as of September 2006. Involvement with ISAA is entirely voluntary and can be accomplished through participation is ISAA's activism or education campaigns, through starting new branches or through making a financial donation to the organization.


Can I donate to ISAA online, using my credit or debit card?

Yes, you can. ISAA has an account with PAYPAL which allows secure online transactions for ISAA DONATIONS. Just click on the graphic below to donate to ISAA!


How many people does it take to create a local ISAA branch?

Well, you can start a chapter with as little as one person, but ideally, at least four people are needed to start a branch, so there can be officers (President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer).


Is there any ISAA documentation on starting a local branch?

Yes, the ISAA Blueprint For Local Branch Formation is a very helpful resource
